Abstract The invention relates to the technical field of structured light three-dimensional measurement, in particular to a binary coding fringe design method for structured light projection, which utilizes a plurality of binary fringes to replace gray sine fringes so as to reduce nonlinear errors of a system. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, determining the number of pixels contained in each period according to the pixel width and the period number of a sine stripe needing to be projected; then, sampling is carried out in a sine period interval, the sampling number is related to the number of pixels occupied by each value, so that decimal gray values of the pixels are obtained, and corresponding 0 and 1 codes can be obtained in a system conversion mode; finally, combining the code words of the same bit in all the '0' and '1' codes into a binary stripe, and expanding the binary stripe to all periods to obtain a plurality of binary stripes; the modulation information of the measured object is obtained
