Abstract | The invention relates to a steel rail electromagnetic ultrasonic flaw detection method, and belongs to the technical field of steel rail detection methods. According to the technical scheme, four detection probes are installed on a bracket capable of moving towards the surface of the steel rail, two of the four detection probes are rail head side probes and are installed on the two sides of a rail head of the steel rail respectively, and the other two detection probes are top detection probes and are installed on the top of the rail head of the steel rail respectively. Ultrasonic waves are generated in the steel rail head through an electromagnetic method, the used waveform is longitudinal waves, and a metal metallurgical structure is detected by monitoring echo intensity attenuation generated from the bottom of the steel rail.
