Abstract | Provided are: an electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which is capable of obtaining high output characteristics; and a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with the electrode. The electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with a current collector and a positive electrode active material layer that is arranged on the current collector and contains a positive electrode active material, and the positive electrode active material is configured from compound particles having a layered structure comprising two or more transition metals.
