Summary:The invention provides a method and a system for evaluating the oil-gas possibility of a stratum. The method comprises the following steps: sealing a rock sample in the stratum in a sample tank; loading the sample tank filled with the rock sample on a crushing device, and crushing the rock sample; measuring the volume concentration of the gaseous hydrocarbon in the sample tank; calculating the gas content per unit mass in the rock sample according to the volume concentration of the gaseous hydrocarbon, the volume of the sample tank and the mass of the rock sample; measuring the oil content per unit mass of the rock sample; determining the ratio of the gas content per unit mass to the oil content per unit mass; and projecting the ratio to a reservoir oil-gas evaluation chart, and judging the flowability and the exploitability of shale oil in the stratum.
