Abstract A method for manufacturing a coil spring (20) includes: a preparation step of preparing a coil spring (30) having a free length of L1 and a value D/d obtained by dividing a coil center diameter D by a wire diameter d of 5.5-10; a compression step in which the coil spring (30) is compressed at a compression ratio within the range of 0.45-0.7, the compression ratio being defined by (L1-L2)/L1 when the compressed length of the coil spring (30) is L2; and a stress peening step for peening at least the inner peripheral surface of the coil spring (30) while maintaining the compressed state of the coil spring (30). 螺旋弹簧(20)的制造方法包括:准备步骤,准备螺旋弹簧(30),所述螺旋弹簧的自由长度为L1,并且通过将线圈中心直径D除以线径d获得的值D/d为5.5-10;压缩步骤,在压缩率为0.45-0.7的范围内压缩螺旋弹簧(30),所述压缩率是螺旋弹簧(30)被压缩的长度为L2时由(L1-L2)/L1定义的;以及应力喷丸步骤,在维持螺旋弹簧(30)的压缩状态的同时,至少对螺旋弹簧(30)的内周面进行喷丸。
