Abstract The invention provides a stability detection method and device for an equipment fingerprint algorithm, and relates to the field of fingerprint algorithm detection, the technical field of information security and the field of finance. The method comprises the following steps: determining a test scene of a to-be-tested application according to a response message of the to-be-tested application based on a service request; when the test scene is the equipment fingerprint test scene, changing parameters of the same original equipment fingerprint to obtain a plurality of test equipment fingerprints; respectively sending the plurality of test equipment fingerprints to the application to be tested; and determining the stability of an equipment fingerprint algorithm according to an equipment identification result returned by the to-be-tested application for the test equipment fingerprint.
