Abstract | An error detection device (15, 25, 35) for a subscriber station (10, 20, 30) of a serial bus system (1) is provided. The error detection device (15; 25; 35) has an evaluation module (153) for evaluating that the signal (TXD; rXD), such that the generated signal (TXD; rXD), for which the at least one bit is interfered, is able to check the function of a predetermined error recognition mechanism, wherein the signal (TXD; rXD) in the subscriber station (10; 20; 30) is processed by a protocol control means (111) for being transmitted as a frame (450) to a bus (40) of the bus system (1) or for decoding a signal (RXD) from the frame (450) after receiving the frame (450) from the bus (40); and an output connection (156) for outputting a switching signal (SJNV) to the protocol control means (111) for outputting a signal (TXD; rXD) and at least one bit evaluated by an evaluation module (153), wherein the evaluation module (153) is designed to generate the switching signal (SINV) on the basis of the at least one bit ev |
