Abstract The invention discloses an event trigger filtering estimation method for network congestion conditions in a crowded area. Based on a positive switching system modeling method, an event triggering strategy and a nonlinear asynchronous filter technology, the method is provided for data acquisition and real-time estimation of data volume received by a base station router in a communication network system in a crowded area. According to the method, the non-linear phenomenon of an actual system and the asynchronous phenomenon caused by system switching delay are considered during modeling, and then the non-linear asynchronous modeling method is provided, which is more in line with the actual situation. The event triggering technology adopted by the method not only can avoid network congestion when the network is busy, but also can ensure the normal operation of the system under the condition that the network bandwidth is insufficient. Meanwhile, the event triggering technology can also reduce the cost of the propo
