Abstract The invention relates to a power failure protection circuit and a protection method, and relates to the field of electronic circuits. The power failure protection circuit comprises a first port VCC1, a second port GND, a capacitive energy storage module, a first switch control module, an MCU module, a second switch control module, a protection module, a first voltage detection module and a current detection module, wherein an MCU chip controls a duty ratio of a PWM signal based on a first voltage detection value and a current detection value, and adjusts the magnitude of the current flowing through the capacitive energy storage module.
