Abstract The invention discloses a method for separating and purifying phytol from bangia fusco-purpurea, which comprises the following steps: adding ethanol into bangia fusco-purpurea powder, leaching at normal temperature, extracting for three times in total, carrying out suction filtration, combining filtrate, and concentrating under reduced pressure to obtain an extract, so as to obtain a crude extract; suspending the crude extract by using 10 times of volume of water, extracting for three times by using petroleum ether according to an equal volume ratio, combining extract liquids, and concentrating under reduced pressure to obtain a petroleum ether phase; adding petroleum ether into the petroleum ether phase for redissolving, preparing by adopting rapid preparative chromatography, eluting at the flow rate of 50mL/min, linearly eluting with petroleum ether and ethyl acetate, collecting 80% of petroleum ether components, and removing the solvent to obtain a phytol crude product; and carrying out PTLC, sample applic
