Abstract | The invention relates to a monocular distance measurement method based on a camera imaging geometrical relationship and a system thereof, and the method comprises the steps: S1, obtaining a foresight traffic image, inputting the foresight traffic image into a target detection network, obtaining a target detection frame in the foresight traffic image, and taking the central point of the lower edge of the target detection frame as a projection point P of a detected object relative to the ground in a world coordinate system; S2, obtaining the focal length of the camera, the pixel center point of the imaging surface of the camera and the position of the optical axis in a world coordinate system through calibration; measuring the actual height of the camera; and inputting a camera imaging geometrical relationship model to calculate the vertical distance between the camera and the measured object.
