The invention relates to a video file restoration method and device, computer equipment and a storage medium. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a video stream corresponding to a target video; extracting feature information of an uplink data packet in the video stream, and when the feature information of the uplink data packet in the video stream meets a preset feature rule, extracting a video data fragment length contained in a downlink data packet of the video stream; and extracting video data in the downlink data packet, and generating a fragment video file with the fragment length of the video data.
