Abstract The invention provides a method and system for measuring flow of special-shaped water conveying pipe culvert. The method comprises the steps: determining a measurement point position for laying a sound channel in the special-shaped water conveying pipe culvert to be detected; performing three-dimensional flow field simulation on the inner wall surface of the pipe culvert at the periphery of the measurement point, and determining the sound channel height and the sound channel angle of each sound channel based on numerical simulation analysis; determining installation positions of a group of sensor probes related to each sound channel according to the sound channel height and the sound channel angle; using laser points of a total station for assisting in lofting, and achieving installation of the sound channels and the sensor probes; and according to the measured data of all sensor probes, counting the flow information in the special-shaped water conveying pipe culvert by combining the sound channel lengths of
