Abstract | The invention relates to a frame screening unit (130; 1300) for a subscriber station (10; 20; 30) of a serial bus system (1), a subscriber station (10) for a serial bus system (1) and a method for communication in a serial bus system (1). The frame screening unit (130; 1300) has a screening block (132) for generating a selection signal (S_SL) that selects whether or not a communication control device (11) of the subscriber station (10) is permitted to receive a received signal (RXD1) that has been generated from a frame (45) currently received serially from the bus for a message (5), and a received signal selection block (133) for screening the received signal (RXD1), on the basis of the selection signal (S_SL) generated by the screening block (132), so that the received signal (RXD1) is not sent to the communication control device (11) of the subscriber station (10).
