Abstract The invention discloses a regional power grid dynamic reactive power optimization method based on an interior point decoupling method and a linear mixed integer programming method. The method comprises the following steps: 1) establishing a dynamic reactive power optimization model; 2) relaxing discrete variables in the dynamic reactive power optimization model into continuous variables, and constructing a relaxed dynamic reactive power optimization model; 3) resolving the relaxation dynamic reactive power optimization model by using an interior point decoupling method to obtain a continuous solution of the switching group number of the grounding capacitor and the gear of the on-load voltage regulation transformer; 4) constructing a linear mixed integer optimization model by using the continuous optimal solution of all variables, and setting a search space of discrete variables; and 5) resolving the linear mixed integer optimization model to obtain the switching group number of the grounding capacitor and the
