Abstract The embodiment of the invention provides a mineral identification method and device. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring mineral sample data of a target sampling area; inputting the mineral sample data into a classification model for calculation to obtain probability values belonging to various minerals; storing the mineral sample data into a database corresponding to the classification model under the condition of determining that the probability values are smaller than corresponding judgment thresholds to obtain an extended classification model; and identifying the minerals according to the extended classification model to obtain the types of the minerals, so that chemical component data can be effectively utilized to identify the minerals. 本申请实施例提供一种矿物识别的方法和装置,该方法包括:获取目标采样区域的矿物样本数据;将所述矿物样本数据输入分类模型进行计算,获得属于各类矿物的概率值;在确定所述概率值均小于相应的判决阈值的情况下,将所述矿物样本数据存储至所述分类模型对应的数据库中,获得扩充分类模型;根据所述扩充分类模型识别矿物,获得所述矿物的类型,能够有效利用化学组分数据,对矿物进行识别。
