The method comprises the following steps: respectively analyzing contents of a plurality ofarchived files input into an archive management system; for each archived file, determining file feature information of the archived file according to an analysis result, the file feature informationcomprising a classification number and a storage life of the archived file; and automatically sorting, numbering and combining the plurality of archived files according to the respective file featureinformation of the plurality of archived files and a preset arrangement rule so as to automatically manage the plurality of archived files. By means of the technical scheme, automatic management anddigital management of archives can be achieved, automatic classification and automatic arrangement of archived files are achieved, accurate management of the archives is guaranteed, and when a user retrieves the archives, an acc
