Abstract The invention relates to an energy-saving and environment-friendly backfill material and a construction process thereof, and relates to the field of foundation treatment. The construction process comprises the following steps: S1, mixing a dry mixture, namely uniformly mixing silt, building muck and cement in proportion; and S2, spraying the dry mixture to a backfill part, mixing the dry mixture with water accounting for 50-80% of the mass of the dry mixture while spraying the dry mixture, and spraying the mixture to the backfill part after mixing. After being sprayed out, the backfill material has enough compactness, high strength and high durability, rolling compaction or vibration compaction is not needed, soil materials and building muck needing to be transported outwards on a construction site are fully utilized as the backfill material, and the backfill material has the characteristics of energy conservation and environmental protection; and meanwhile, the strength of the backfill material can be flexib
