Abstract The invention provides a novel rigid-flexible combined type damper device and a construction method thereof. The novel rigid-flexible combined type damper device comprises pile foundations located atthe two sides of a bridge girder and inserted into a soil layer, a flexible abutment is fixed to the tops of the pile foundations, a guide plate is arranged at the outer side of the flexible abutment,and a foam concrete base is poured at the position, below the guide plate, on the soil layer; the foam concrete base comprises a longitudinal supporting guide part and a transverse supporting part, an elastic body is fixed to the transverse supporting part, rubber layers are sequentially fixed to the longitudinal supporting part towards the flexible bridge abutment, and anchor rods penetrating through the elastic body are fixed to the flexible bridge abutment.
