Abstract The purpose of the present invention is to provide an active material with which it is possible to improve battery performance by reducing resistance at an interface with a sulfide solid electrolyte.In a radius vector distribution function obtained through measurement of an X-ray absorption fine structure, this active material shows at least one peak in a range of 0.145-0.185 nm, and at least onepeak in a range of 0.28-0.31 nm. The active material is intended for use in a solid-state battery.
