Abstract | The invention discloses a selective laser melting continuous gradient material powder laying device and method. The device comprises a workbench and a control system. A forming cylinder, a powder overflowing cylinder, a powder storage cylinder and a powder laying scraper are arranged on the workbench. The powder overflowing cylinder and the powder storage cylinder are located on two sides of the forming cylinder correspondingly. A control system controls the powder laying scraper to do reciprocating translational motion along the powder storage cylinder, the forming cylinder and the powder overflowing cylinder. The powder storage cylinder comprises a first powder supply cylinder and a second powder supply cylinder. A first push plate is arranged at the bottom of the first powder supply cylinder, a second push plate is arranged at the bottom of the second powder supply cylinder, and the first push plate and the second push plate can move linearly up and down.
