Abstract | The present invention discloses an optical resin composition and an optical resin material prepared therefrom. The composition comprises, based on the total mass of the composition, (a) 45-65 wt%, preferably 50-60 wt%, of an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer; (b) 35 to 55 wt%, preferably 40 to 50 wt% of a thiol compound having at least two sulfydryl groups. The isocyanate-terminated prepolymer is prepared from the following raw materials: aliphatic isocyanate, an episulfide compound and a thioether compound with at least one hydroxyl group. The optical resin material prepared by taking the composition as a raw material has a high refractive index and also has excellent impact resistance and optical transparency.
