Summary: | The invention relates to a method for operating a charge regulator (LR) for an electrical accumulator (S), particularly a battery (B) of a vehicle on-board power supply system (100), which is suppliedwith electrical energy by means of an electric machine (30) which is coupled to an internal combustion engine (112) in a direct or geared manner and comprises a rotor (32) and a stator (33) with at least one phase winding (U, V, W) producing phase signals (UU, UV, UW, IU, IV, IW), wherein once a first nominal value (USoll1) of the electrical accumulator (S) has been reached or exceeded, the electric machine (30) is controlled by the charge regulator (LR) in such a way that the electric machine (30) is operated in a motor-driven manner. The invention also relates to a corresponding arithmeticunit which is designed to carry out the method, and to a computer program for carrying out the method.
