Abstract We describe a method of controlling the operation of a wastewater treatment plant, the method comprising: chemically dosing a first flow in the plant with one or more settlement enhancing chemicals; making a measurement of a second flow, wherein the measurement is dependent on a biochemical oxygen demand of the second flow, wherein the second flow is downstream of the first flow, and wherein the second flow comprises a mixture of a flow from an input to the plant and an RAS (returned activated sludge) flow of the plant; and using the measurement to control a level of the dosing of the one or more settlement enhancing chemicals. 我们描述了一种控制废水处理设施运行的方法,该方法包括:以化学的方式向所述设施中的第一流配给一定剂量的一种或多种沉淀增强化学品;进行第二流的测量,其中,所述测量取决于所述第二流的生化需氧量,其中,所述第二流在所述第一流的下游,并且其中,所述第二流包括从输入装置到所述设施的流与所述设施的RAS(回流活性污泥)流的混合;以及使用所述测量来控制所述一种或多种沉淀增强化学品的所述剂量配给的等级。
