Abstract The invention relates to a current sensor based on tunneling magnetoresistance, and belongs to the technical field of power system current measurement. The current sensor comprises an open magnetic ring, a tunneling magnetoresistance sensing chip and a signal conditioning circuit. The tunneling magnetoresistance sensing chip arranged at the air gap of the open magnetic ring is electrically connected with the signal conditioning circuit. The current sensor also comprises an output circuit. The output circuit comprises a feedback coil and a sampling resistor; the feedback coil is wound on the open magnetic ring; one end of the feedback coil is connected with the output end of the signal conditioning circuit; the output of the signal conditioning circuit supplies power to the feedback coil, the other end of the feedback coil is grounded through the sampling resistor, the voltage across the two ends of the sampling resistor is used as the output of the current sensor, and the problems in the prior art that the se
