Abstract The embodiment of the invention discloses a defect detection method based on digital printing. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a target image of a to-be-detected product; accordingto a preset extremum calculation algorithm, calculating an extremum sequence corresponding to the target image according to the gray value of each pixel point of the target image, the extremum sequence being used for representing gray features of the target image; and performing feature screening on the extreme value sequence according to preset defect features, and determining a target defect position, the features including at least one of a width feature, a height feature and/or an energy feature.
