Abstract | A lighting apparatus (102) comprises a lighting pulse generator (110) which generates a lighting pulse of coherent light, a speckle modulator (200) which modulates speckle generated by the coherent light, and a synchronization controller (240) which performs control by synchronizing the pulse generation timing of the lighting pulse generator and the driving timing of the speckle modulator.
