The invention discloses a sulfate radical detection method. The method includes the steps of measuring the initial potential of a hydrogen fluoride solution and the final potential when lead sulfate is completely dropped into the hydrogen fluoride by using a fluorine ion selective electrode, calculating the concentration change amount of fluoride ions by utilizing a formula after the change amountof the potential is calculated, and then calculating the concentration change amount of sulfate ions according to the reaction coefficient ratio of the sulfate ions to the fluoride ions, so that thecontent of the sulfate radicals in a to-be-detected liquid is obtained.
