The invention provides an information recommendation method which is applied to an automobile navigator and comprises the following steps: acquiring information of an environment where an automobile is located; obtaining news information matched with the environment information from an information recommendation library of the vehicle, wherein the information recommendation library is an information library created according to information obtained by screening from a whole network information library according to a user portrait of a user corresponding to the vehicle, and the whole network information library is an information library created according to data of whole network information; and recommending the news information to the user. Meanwhile, the invention further provides an information recommendation device. According to the technical scheme, the flexibility of information recommendation on the automobile navigator can be improved, the recommended information can better meetthe reading requirement
