The invention provides a method for producing a Luneberg lens, which can produce a high-performance Luneberg lens with a stable index under the conditions of a room temperature, the normal pressure and the low cost. The method comprises the steps of: forming a core by sticking a first type of particulate material into a spherical shape by an adhesive; spraying the adhesive on the surface of the core, putting the core into a container containing a second granular material, and allowing the core to roll to adhere the surface of the entire core to the second particulate material until the thickness of the second particulate material reaches a predetermined range, thereby forming a dielectric layer covering the core.
