The invention provides a motor unit. The motor unit has a parking switching mechanism driven in accordance with a shift operation of a vehicle. The parking switching mechanism has a movable part whichmoves in a first direction in accordance with a shift operation of a vehicle; a parking lock arm which moves with the movement of the movable part; a support member that supports the movable member so as to be movable in the first direction. The support member has: a base portion; a through hole penetrating the base portion in the second direction; a positioning portion located radially outside the base portion in a radial direction centered on the central axis of the through hole; a contact portion which contacts the movable member and supports the movable member. The case has an internallythreaded hole into which a screw passing through the through hole is screwed. The positioning portion is in contact with a portion of the inner side surface of the housing that faces the center in thecircumferential direction.
