Abstract | The invention discloses a self-service book recycling and vending machine and an application method thereof. The machine comprises a body, a driven clamping mechanism, a book information recognition detection mechanism, a storage mechanism and a database, wherein the body comprises an outer protective shell and a driving box; the driven clamping mechanism comprises a biaxial translation robot capable of realizing triaxial movement and at least one electric pushrod which can move along the transverse direction of the biaxial translation robot; and the biaxial translation robot is located at theinner side of the driving box, a movable plate is movably connected to one side of the biaxial translation robot, and the electric pushrods are connected to the surface of the movable plate.
