Abstract | The invention discloses a content pushing method and system based on a high-definition smart television, and the method comprises the following steps: detecting whether a user is watching a video or not in a video playing process of the high-definition smart television; recording video watching time of the user to form first watching time; when the first watching time is greater than a first specific value, uploading the information containing the video ID content to a cloud server; enabling a cloud server to obtain element characteristics of the currently played video according to the uploaded information, search for advertisement contents related to the element characteristics and return the advertisement contents to the high-definition smart television; and after receiving the advertisement content, enabling the high-definition intelligent television to push the advertisement content to the advertisement position in the video.
