The invention relates to a housing, having a housing body (1), inthe case of which components are arranged on a base plate (2), and having a housing cover (3), wherein the housing cover (3) is fastened to the base plate (2) by means of crimp tabs (3.1), which arebent over in such a way that the housing lid is interlockingly connected to the housing body (1). The invention further relates to a method for connecting the housing to the housing cover (3). An edgeregion of the base plate (2) projects beyond the contact surface of the housing body (1), wherein crimp tabs (3.1) that have been bent over lie against the contact surface.
