Abstract The invention discloses a mosquito-trapping composition and application thereof. The mosquito-trapping composition is prepared from saturated fatty acid and saturated fatty acid salt, wherein the saturated fatty acid is selected from one of acetic acid, propionic acid and caprylic acid; the saturated fatty acid salt is selected from one of ammonium acetate, ammonium propionate and ammonium caprylate; the mass ratio of the saturated fatty acid to the saturated fatty acid salt is (1 to 5) to (1 to 5).
