Abstract | The invention relates to a high-elongation poly-p-phenylene ben-zobisthiazole fiber and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of high-performance fiber preparation. According to the high-elongation poly-p-phenylene ben-zobisthiazole fiber, a poly-p-phenylene ben-zobisthiazole polymer with the specific viscosity number being 15-35 dL/g is adopted as a raw material, and the fiber is prepared in a wet spraying spinning mode; the binding tensile strength of the high-elongation poly-p-phenylene ben-zobisthiazole fiber is 5.4-5.8 Gpa, the breaking elongation is 3.5-4.5%, the tensile modulus is 140-180 GPa, and the density is 1.53-1.54 g/cm . The PBO fiber has the high elongation, other indexes are also excellent and balanced, the fiber has the more excellent bullet-proof and impact resistance, the fiber is particularly applicable to the bullet-proof field, the national gap is filled, and the fiber is applicable to industrial large-scale production.
