Abstract | The invention discloses a method for improving the temperature coefficient and NTC effect of a PTCR ceramic material. The method adopts a formula consisting of: (100-x)mol% of an I# material, xmol% ofan II# material, ymol% of MnO2 and zmol% of WO3, wherein x=0-50, y=0.04-0.07mo1%, and z=0.00-0.20mol%, at least one of compounds Nb2O5, La2O3, Sm2O3 and Nd2O3 is adopted as the semi-conduction agent,and Al2O3 or SiO2 is taken as the sintering aid. The adopted process includes: conducting heat preservation and sintering on a wafer obtained by pressing of the materials in 1230-1350DEG C atmospherefor 10-30min to achieve full sintering and solid-phase reaction; and grinding the sintered wafer, and performing electrode coating, thus obtaining the PTCR ceramic material. The method provided by the invention can effectively enhance the linear coefficient alpha and the NTC effect, and can effectively improve performance aging.
