Abstract The invention discloses an MIL-101 material with high water stability and a preparation method of the MIL-101 material. According to the method, transition metal ions such as Co<2+>, Ni<2+>, Cu<2+>, Zn<2+> and the like are introduced to serve as doping metal during coordination of organic ligand and metal, and form competition coordination with metal ions such as Fe<3+>, Cr<3+> and Al<3+>, organicacids such as citric acid, acetic acid and tartaric acid are added to serve as doping accelerators and play a role of a mineralizer, the transition metal ion doped bi-metal MIL-101 material is synthesized and washed, a coordination defect structure is removed by an acid solution with pH of 2-5, and the stable bi-metal MIL-101 material is obtained after drying.
