Abstract | The application provides a metal foreign object detecting device, a wireless charging system and a method. The metal foreign matter detecting device includes a giant magneto-impedance device and a voltage detector; the voltage detector is used for detecting the voltage change of the giant magneto-impedance device; and the giant magneto-impedance device has a characteristic that the resistivity ofthe giant magneto-impedance device varies with the magnitude of a magnetic field. When metal foreign object detection is performed on a position to be detected, the metal foreign matter detecting device is energized; and if the voltage detector detects that the voltage value of the two ends of the giant magneto-impedance device is hopping, it is determined that a metal foreign matter exists in theposition to be detected. The metal foreign matter detecting device realizes a high-precision foreign matter detecting function by means of the characteristic of the giant magneto-impedance device.
