Summary:The invention is directed to a light source device (10) comprising a light emitting element (12) for emitting a blue light having a wavelength ranging from 435 to 500 nm, the light source device (10)being configured to provide the blue light to at least one cell (C) at a transmitted fluence ranging from 0.01 to 18.5 J/cm to promote or induce growth and proliferation of the cell (C) and whereinthe light emitting element (12) has a power density ranging from 0.05 to 30 mW/cm .
