Abstract Embodiments of the present invention provide a test method, system, device, and storage medium for a switch control plane. The method comprising the following steps of: obtaining switch test input parameters, which comprises input message information and message forwarding behavior model; converting the input parameters to the hardware entries corresponding to the control plane of the switch; adapting hardware entries to determine an open virtual switching standard OVS flow table; adding the OVS flow table to the OVS system; calling the system tool of the OVS system to construct a test messagecorresponding to the message information, and performing analog forwarding processing on the test message according to the OVS flow table; obtaining a processing flow corresponding to the test message output by the OVS system; determining whether the data processing logic of the switch control plane is correct according to the processing flow and message forwarding behavior model corresponding tothe test message.
