Abstract The embodiment of the invention provides a pipeline inspection method and system. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring pipeline data of a pipeline to be inspected, and obtaining position information corresponding to the pipeline data through a GPS signal or Beidou signal; and sending the pipeline data and the position information to a service side through a GPRS network or Beidou short message. The system is used for executing the method.
