Abstract The invention discloses a compound functional piglet feed additive and a preparation method thereof, and aims at solving technical problems in livestock and poultry production. The compound functionalpiglet feed additive is prepared by fermenting fresh roxburgh rose, milk-vetch roots and tea leaves with lactobacillus plantarum and bacillus subtilis. The ratio in mass parts of the fresh roxburgh rose, the milk-vetch roots and the tea leaves is: (50-80):(20-30):(10-15). The preparation method is as follows: selecting ripe and fresh roxburgh rose, removing epidermal impurities, surface thorns and inner seeds of the roxburgh rose, and beating the obtained roxburgh rose into fragments; subjecting the milk-vetch roots and the tea leaves to impurity removal and chopping; activating the lactobacillus plantarum and the bacillus subtilis; mixing the roxburgh rose, the milk-vetch roots and the tea leaves, and inoculating the obtained mixture with the lactobacillus plantarum and the bacillus subtilis with inoculum size o
