Abstract The invention is suitable for the technical field of communication, and provides a display standby control method, an apparatus and terminal equipment. The method is applied to a display configured with a bluetooth master equipment, and comprises the steps of: pairing the bluetooth master equipment with bluetooth slave equipment; judging whether the pairing is successful; if the pairing is successful, detecting once every predetermined time interval to judge whether the bluetooth master equipment on the display is disconnected from the bluetooth slave equipment when the display is turned on and working normally; and if it is detected that the bluetooth master equipment is disconnected from the bluetooth slave equipment continuously N times, turning off the display screen, wherein N is an integer greater than or equal to 3.
