Abstract | The invention aims to prepare HMW (High Molecular Weight) polyacrylamide and aims to solve the problem of reduction of the effect of a paper reinforce caused by closed circulation of papermaking whitewater, poor secondary fiber raw material and the like. After the HMW polyacrylamide is used, the retention rate of fine fiber can be remarkably increased, the drainage property of paper pulp can be greatly increased, and the paper machine speed can be increased. The molecular weight of the HMW polyacrylamide can be up to 4000,000 to 6000,000, the polymer simultaneously contains (methyl)acrylamide, a cationic ethylene monomer, an anionic ethylene monomer, a structure modifier and a chain transfer agent. The concentration of the synthesized polymer is 20 percent, the potential measured by a PCD(Particle Charge Detector) after the polymer is diluted by 2000 times at 25 DEG C under a neutral condition is 200 to 300 mv, and the charge demand is 28 to 40 meq/g.
