Abstract | The invention, within the field of research of composite materials for automobiles, relates to a long fiber composite passenger car rear seat frame initial material design method. The method comprisesthe following steps: 1. determine the crashworthiness requirements of the rear seats of passenger cars; 2. derivating the minimum penetration energy function of the LFT plate; 3. studying the designmethod of LFT flat material based on impact energy requirements; 4. Designing the initial material of the seat backboard skeleton; 5. verifying the initial design results finite element and test; themethod establishes a bridge connecting the energy absorption capacity with the material parameters and the test constraint parameters by using the minimum penetration energy of the LFT plate.
