The invention discloses an electrical connector for electrically connecting a chip module. The electrical connector comprises an insulating body and a plurality of terminals. A plurality of rows of receiving slots are arranged to extend up and down through the insulating body, and a barrier is formed between each two adjacent receiving slots. The insulating body is recessed downwardly to be provided with a recess located on one of the barriers, the recess has a bottom surface and a closed side surface extending upward from the peripheral edge of the bottom surface, and the recess is used for athimble to push the insulating body out of a mold. The insulating body is raised upwardly to be provided with a plurality of bumps for supporting the chip module. All the bumps spaced apart from therecess are located on the remaining barriers.
