Summary: | The invention provides a method for synthesizing asymmetric carbonate through propylene carbonate in one step and coproducing 1,2-propylene glycol and relates to the method for synthesizing the asymmetric carbonate. The asymmetric carbonate is synthesized through the propylene carbonate, methanol and various alcohols (ROH, wherein R can be various alcohols including straight-chain alcohol, isomeric alcohol, aromatic alcohol, phenols and glycol, such as ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol and polylol) in one step. A crude product obtained by reaction contains dimethyl carbonate, the asymmetric carbonate, symmetric carbonate and the 1,2-propylene glycol, wherein the highest conversion rate of the propylene carbonate can reach 99 percent, and the byproduct 1,2-propylene glycol is used as a bulk raw material and can be separated through simple distillation.
