Abstract The invention relates to an air vent (1) for directly introducing air into a passenger compartment of a vehicle, having at least one outlet opening (2) and at least one deflecting surface (3, 4, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19) which is arranged in the region of the outlet opening (2), which runs radially outwards with respect to a flow direction (5) of the air flowing in the direction of the deflecting surface (3, 4, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19), and by means of which the air flowing in the direction of the deflecting surface (3, 4, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19) can be deflected radially outwards using the Coanda affect. The aim of the invention is to provide an intuitively controllable and inexpensively producible air vent (1).
