Abstract | The invention discloses an electromagnetic fluid damper with multi-mode damping characteristics. The electromagnetic fluid damper mainly comprises an electromagnetic damping unit and a fluid damping unit. According to the electromagnetic fluid damper disclosed by the invention, speed limitation protection of different damping properties on positive and negative directions of mechanical rotation motion can be realized, so that working capability and efficiency are both improved; if necessary, a cooling operation on the electromagnetic damping unit can be carried out by the fluid damping unit, so that a high-strength reliable operation of the electromagnetic damping unit can be ensured; particularly, when a certain damping unit has an error failure, an integral failure condition is avoided, so that the using security is ensured. The electromagnetic fluid damper has the advantages of simple structure, reliable operation, maintenance-free and the like.
